Anyone may convert to Catholicism if they accept the basic articles of faith in the Nicene Creed, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
The route to conversion in this day and age is via the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
RCIA is not for the baptized; it is for the unbaptized, and can be adapted for non-Catholic Christians who wish to be initiated into the Catholic Church.
- Catholics believe that there is one God, but he has three forms, Father (God), Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that when a Catholic priest consecrates the bread and wine during mass, it becomes the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
- We believe that Jesus, who was completely god and man, suffered and died on the cross for our sins, so that we could ascend to heaven with God our father.
- We believe that purgatory is the cleansing period after death that prepares us for heaven. (Some less conservative Catholics don't believe this one)
