The Laurenstjerke is affiliated with the Dutch Protestant Churches (PKN), which belongs within the [[Protestantism|Protestant]] tradition of Christianity. The church's beliefs were originially Calvinistic. Over the years Donkerbroek had a lot of import inhabitants with people with lutherian thoughts. This denominations have mixed with eachother in the Church community.
