  • Langar communal vegetarian food made by volunteers and funded by the worshippers themselves. There is no meat served in the langar hall so that vegetarians will not be offended by or restricted by the food available. Langar is always served to the Pangat (the langar congregation) sitting on the ground, as equality amongst all members of the community is a tenet of Sikhism.
