To attribute human emotions to God is a form of anthropomorphism.
Man's understands and experiences God in terms of human feeling and human notions.
The Bible does record God as jealous in the Old Testament, but there is divine purpose and will bound up in that notion of covenant where God will be both zealous and jealous in order to keep his side of the covenant. This is bound up in two specific terms, emet (the truth of God - God will be true to his covenant) and emed ( the loving-kindness of God) - the love of God will bind him to his covenant.
But God is the creator of the universe, what does he have to be jealous of? In my beliefs, he has nothing to be jealous of.
